Manufacturing Blending Technician

Chester's International, LLC Wetumpka, AL (Onsite) Full-Time
Responsibilities:

Operating mixing equipment to blend ingredients according to recipes and production specifications. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
Weigh and measure ingredients accurately - Monitor mixing process to ensure proper consistency and quality.
Adjust mixing time, speed, and temperature as needed - Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient production flow.
Follow food safety guidelines and maintain proper food handling procedures - Perform basic math calculations for ingredient measurements - Utilize forklift to transport ingredients and finished products

Skills:

Experience in the food industry, preferably in a mixing or culinary role - Proficiency in operating a forklift and following forklift safety protocols - Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations - Basic math skills for accurate measurement of ingredients and accurate reporting - Ability to use knives and other tools - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and production specifications - Understanding of sanitation practices and ability to properly clean and sanitize equipment and responsible work station.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six months' experience in food processing or food handling.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, and written formulas and safety procedures. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American weight measurement and volume. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
• Ability to attend classes and acquire microbiology certificate.
• Current driver's license is required.

Job Scope

This position reports to the Shift Operations Manager. The Blending Technician is responsible for formulating and mixing flour-based food products. When necessary to sustain operation or perform other duties in the Blending operation. An ideal candidate will have a great attitude and work ethic with an interest in growing within their role. This position offers growth and career opportunities. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the duties below.
