The Accounting Manager is responsible for all aspects of Accounting and Operational Finances for the manufacturing side of the business to including, but not limited to predicting revenues and expenditures, analyzing operational trends, ensuring compliance with tax payment and requirements and preparing various accounting reports. The Accounting Manager overseas fixed assets control and depreciation, accrual to meet anticipated liabilities, preparation of the general tax reports such as those for sales, payroll, and personal property taxes, and payable/receivables. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Accounting Manager oversees Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable to ensure that all necessary invoices and paperwork are processed and paid in a timely manner. Works closely with the CFO on all matters pertaining to operational accounts, finances and capital expenses in the manufacturing departments
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
-Prepare balance sheets, Profit & Loss statements and other reports using calculators and computer software.
-Report finances of corporation and divisions to top management and advises management about financial data, including tax strategies and any and all other critical financial information as requested by the CEO or CFO.
-Analyze operations trends such as costs, revenues, financial commitments to project future revenues and expenses.
-Predict revenues and expenditures, submit reports to upper management.
-Supervise, train, motivate, evaluate, schedule and communicate with the accounting staff to create an efficient and effective Accounting Department.
-Work with all responsible departments to coordinate the flow of job sheets, invoices, purchase orders, receivables, shippers, DRs, billing materials and all other documentation necessary to maintain accurate accounting records.
-Coordinate with staff to ensure Accounts Payable and Receivable have all the necessary invoices and paperwork to pay vendors, bill customers and receive payments in a timely manner.
-Communicate with customers regarding outstanding invoices that have not been paid based upon agreed net payment plans.
-Work closely with outside CPA on critical accounting paperwork to ensure compliance with tax payments and other tax reporting requirements.
-Utilize G.E.M. system for data entry of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reports to balance the
