As a Senior Manager on the Manufacturing Industry Team at dss+ you'll spearhead regional sales, revenue, and EBITDA growth
Your primary focus will be as commercial sales executive, understanding and addressing the business challenges of client executives in leading organizations within the manufacturing sector, crafting tailored solutions to facilitate their transformational journey

The Role

In this strategic and client-facing position, you will oversee the entire consulting value chain
This includes leading or supporting business development efforts, engaging in project delivery, and fostering account development
You will also be a regional thought leader, actively contributing to shaping and driving our Manufacturing Industry strategy in collaboration with our Practice Delivery Teams, while collaborating with the regional Manufacturing Industry Leader.

You will be instrumental in driving revenue and profit growth in the Manufacturing industry, all while working closely with thought leaders to innovate our approach and deliver exceptional value to our clients.

You will be responsible to:
  • Report directly to the USC Manufacturing Industry Leader with a strong focus on business development and go-to-market strategy to support regional business growth
  • Client Acquisition: Identify potential clients through research and network building, work with Industry Leader to scope projects, prepare and deliver presentations tailored to client needs
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets
    Stay abreast of market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions
  • Collaborate with the global Manufacturing Industry Team to contribute to thought leadership, offerings, and methodologies, bringing global best practices to the USC market and clients
  • Provide support for consulting business assessment and implementation engagements
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior client executives, maintaining and expanding relationships in alignment with the account team
    Understand client needs and consult on solutions that add value to their business
  • Participate in and contribute to internal and external industry networks with the aim of developing new business working closely with the USC Marketing Team
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the consulting team to ensure client projects are delivered effectively
    Coordinate with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and materials

Who are you today?
  • You have Operations Management Consulting and commercial experience
    You're most likely a Manager, or Senior Manager in a management consulting firm, and you have a pretty impressive track record in selling consulting services within the Manufacturing Industry
    You're comfortable with developing industry practices and take long-term client relationships seriously
    You're a great listener - allowing you to develop offers and solutions that meet each client's unique needs
    And you're comfortable in the C-suite, engaging as a peer with board members, investment teams and portfolio company leaders

Qualifications:
  • Technical knowledge and experience in supporting clients on sustainability transformational journeys including setting strategies, developing operational roadmaps, integrating into business units and functions, and supporting implementing
  • Strong understanding and conversant with clients across dss+ methodologies
  • You have experience from both industry and management consulting
  • Knowledge and experience in Manufacturing
  • Solid technical and business / commercial acumen
  • Effective leadership skills to lead dss+ internal teams and client executives
  • Demonstrated experience achieving stated sales objectives and effectively managing all aspects of the sales cycle (prospecting to closure)
  • Experience serving as a trusted advisor to senior client executive levels with demonstrated history of account revenue growth

Qualifications / Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering or business, MBA, MS preferred
  • The ideal candidate will have a mix of industry and consulting background
  • 8+ years of professional experience in management consulting
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and team-working attitude
  • Able to work with fast-paced, multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Travel required
