Canyon Ridge Hospital a 106-bed behavioral health facility located on the western edge of San Bernardino County. Canyon Ridge Hospital is a full-service psychiatric hospital that operates within a 15-mile radius of Riverside, Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Canyon Ridge Hospital has been a public resource for behavioral health and substance abuse treatment in the greater Inland Empire since 1989. Our acute care facility offers a safe and comfortable environment for both adults and adolescents. By offering a full spectrum of services (such as inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient), Canyon Ridge Hospital is able to provide a full continuum of care for its clients.
The LVN or LPT is responsible for delivering quality direct patient care under appropriate clinical supervision, to children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with psychiatric or emotional disorders; to serve actively and constructively as a member of the hospital’s multi-disciplinary treatment team, and support the hospital’s program philosophy of care.
The LVN or LPT must possess a current, valid California LVN or PT license and must be registered with the CA Board of Vocational Nursing/ Psychiatric Technician. Position requires written and oral communication skills; legible handwriting, ability to interact effectively with clinical team and other staff; organizational, problem-solving and time management skills; empathy for patients and their families; flexibility; telephone etiquette and customer service skills for phone and face-to-face contacts; skills in basic knowledge of abnormal psychology as typically found in the adult psychiatric population; thorough familiarity of psychopharmacology and the use of psychotropic medications within children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population. In the absence of these skills upon hire, must demonstrate ability to learn these concepts and develop these skills within reasonable time frame via organization’s orientation and training program.
