Senior Industrial Hygienist

GHD is searching for an Industrial Hygienist, this opportunity is for our Houston, TX office.
 
The successful candidate will:
  • Provide field and equipment support as GHD continues to grow our safety / industrial hygiene services throughout the greater midcontinent region.  
  • Perform a wide range of industrial hygiene consultation services for third party clients, which includes conducting and reporting the results of exposure assessment projects. 
  • Work within established project objectives / methodologies under the direction of a Certified Industrial Hygienist.

This position offers great variety of projects and will see you involved in 
  • Perform exposure assessment projects for chemicals (gases, vapors, dusts, aerosols, etc.), biological (viable and non-viable mold, blood borne pathogens, etc.), physical (noise, heat/cold stress, non ionizing radiation), and ergonomic stressors.
  • Provide field and office assistance to industrial hygienists/technicians, safety professionals environmental technicians and other supporting staff.
  • Provide safety and industrial hygiene support to GHD internal safety department.


What you will bring to the team
  • Master’s degree in industrial hygiene (preferred) or;
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene, safety, chemistry, biology, engineering, or related field.
  • Ability to perform projects according to the established scope and within the allocated budgets
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to prepare reports and process field data.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft applications (i.e. MS WORD®, MS EXCEL® & MS PowerPoint®)
  • Ability to travel, work in the field (sometimes for extended period), work outdoors, and lift 50 lbs
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
