Human Resources Assistant, Newport News, VA Perform a variety of general personnel/clerical task in such areas as employee records, benefits, education/training, employment, compensation, and equal employment opportunity. Maintains both manual and automated personnel records, collects and compiles sensitive and confidential personnel statistics and prepares report. In accordance with procedures, furnishes information to authorized persons and/or agencies. Provides information to all levels of employees regarding personnel policies and procedures. At company, this position performs functions in the Leave of Absence department. The LoA Administrators facilitates disability requests for sickness & accident, short-term disability, long-term disability, family care leave and military leave, and approves subsequent FMLA leaves. Functions are completed inm a call center environment. Administrators also enter appropriate time entries into time system. Prefer experience with a variety of leave administrations for an industrial company SAP system experience Strong verbal and written communication skills, in addition to customer service Knowledge of FMLA High School and 2 years additional education and/or experience Onsite work will be required, this position will not be 100% remote. This position has the potential for part time remote work after training. This position does not require clearance, driving, or travel.
