Sodexo's School Services Division is seeking an experienced Chef Manager at Old Bridge Schools located in Old Bridge, NJ. Day to Day this manager will oversee the daily operations of 15 schools in a public school district. Managing 90+ union employees. You will also oversee the catering program to include planning, costing and executing all catering events. Train employees. Plan menus. Work toward increasing meal counts. Manage food and labor costs. Execute food and physical safety audits. Knowledge of Microsoft office.This position will oversee food operations for a $2.8 million account in a fast paced environment.
Our Food Operations Manager will also support the retail and catering functions. Our ideal candidate will be a "True Chef" and a self-motivated individual that is able to create culinary promotions to further increase student meal purchases.
Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter with stellar communication skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Experience managing food service in an education environment and supervision of union staff is strongly preferred. Will be responsible for action stations, training, food presentation, catering. Needs someone whose innovative, self-starter, aware of food trends, computer savvy. Chef experience needed to be successful in this role.
