Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. The Clinical Supervisor will assume shift responsibility and accountability for the planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to the patient, family, care partner and appropriate others. Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members, directs and facilitates nursing staff in obtaining safe, optimal healthcare outcomes. Supports activities that meet the facility vision, mission and goals. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision. The concepts of patient centered care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrate professionalism and service excellence standards at all times.
A current Texas nursing license or compact is required upon hire. BSN preferred.
Two years’ experience in acute care specialty nursing. One year charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred.
Current RN licensure in the State of Texas, or compact. Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications. Must maintain all certifications required by area of supervision. National certification in area of supervision preferred (i.e. CCRN, PCCN)
Must maintain all clinical competencies for area of supervision.
Must be clinically competent in area of population served. Must demonstrate knowledge and ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel. Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate team leadership. Must have the ability to problem solve and think critically.
Must possess basic computer application skills. Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
