Mortgage Banking at Fifth Third Bank encompasses three sales channels # Retail, Direct and Correspondent. It also includes the operations side, with three major Fulfillment Centers in Cincinnati, Ohio; Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Chicago, Illinois. We offer many different mortgage loan options, and our customers look to us when they are thinking about buying a new home, building their dream home, refinancing their existing home, or exploring options for downsizing. Additionally, the Fifth Third partners with the Community College Foundation to bring the Financial Empowerment eBus to our communities. This bus is retrofitted as a mobile classroom that hits the streets to provide financial education on important topics including homeownership. We also play a key role in supporting homeownership by offering refinancing and modification opportunities.

GENERAL FUNCTION: Provide technical writing and editing support for the Consumer Bank communication projects and programs. Participate in the design, delivery, and implementation of communications projects, including comprehensivewritingprojects,content development, and documented workflow procedures. Ensure that these components are consistent in appearance and content and adequately integrated into various Consumer Bank communication channels.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures thatactions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

* Design, develop, edit, and deliver Consumer Bank and Mortgage Company procedure documents in a timely and efficient manner and ensure compliance with bank policies and guidelines.
* Develop and rollout procedure materials for new initiatives and process flows.
* Ensure standard operating procedures are consistently and uniformly written.
* Collaborate with Partners in Risk Management, Credit Policy, Compliance and National Underwriting to ensure procedures are completed, edited, and approved in accordance with bank guidelines.
* Coordinate internal publications and newsletters including gathering information, writing, designing, editing, and distribution to identified Consumer Bank recipients.
* Act as a liaison to define business requirements and/or problems and initiate maintenance of existing documentation.
* Coordinate with IT Intranet Content to maintain and update the Mortgage Intranet Landing Page.
*Act as author for articles posted to The Knowledge Bank.

Job Requirements

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience/education.
* 3-5 years mortgage or related banking experience preferred.
* 3-5 years writing experience in a technical or marketing field.
* Strong presentation and organizational skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent computer skills. Must be proficient in technology utilized to communicate effectively such as Adobe, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Web Content Management
* Position requires the ability to be flexible, reliable, work independently, and committed to delivering projects to within deadlines
