Under the leadership of the Senior IT Infrastructure Manager, a Systems Engineer is responsible to build out, maintain, and troubleshoot the IT infrastructure. He/she must be equipped and able to work in a dynamic and rapidly expanding changing environment. This individual will be part of the Infrastructure team of engineers who collectively demonstrate excellent technical competence, reliability in delivering mission-critical infrastructure, and who continually ensure the highest levels of accessibility, reliability, availability, optimization, and systems security. Systems Engineer will have a strong background in systems engineering, analysis and design.
Specialization
Leads the overall systems architecture planning, design and implementation of current as well as new and emerging technologies
Responsible for network engineering and administration of network technologies (LAN, WAN, VLAN, BGP/OSPF routing, QoS, Cisco switches and firewalls, Aruba wireless networks, silver peak SD-WAN etc.). Strong technical expertise in F5 LTM and APM. Maintain and support multi-site Windows environment along with hardware and software configuration. Focused on administration of Windows Server 2016/2019 operating systems and services including Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SFTP, NLB, and NPS.
Job Responsibilities
* Work with Sr. IT Infrastructure Manager by making recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of infrastructure projects.
* Responsible for setup, monitoring, maintenance, patching, decommissioning for all systems and network equipment.
* Install, upgrade, and maintain hardware and software on systems.
* Ensure the stable operation of the organization's IT Infrastructure.
* Duties require knowledge and background experience in networks and datacenter infrastructure which support data, voice, and video.
* Collaborate with Security Engineering Team around vulnerability remediation plan and process.
* Provide Tier-3 escalation engineer support to daily operational issues.
Systems Engineer III
* Individual must possess advanced knowledge in at least three of the following areas: cloud, network, storage, virtualization, compute (OS), wireless and security.
* Design, installation, integration, operation and administration of various hardware devices including servers, firewalls, storage platforms, routers, switches, and network-interconnection devices.
Required Experience and Skills
* Minimum 8+ years of systems administration/engineering experience.
* Strong analytical, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent team player - proven ability to resolve problems professionally and systematically.
* Experience in disaster recovery planning, high-availability, backup, recovery and continuity solutions.
* Healthcare and technology services experience preferred.
Required Education
* Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education, training and work experience.
