We currently have an opening for an Inventory Clerk to work within a healthcare organization and ensure smooth daily operations of the company's Purchasing department. Duties / Responsibilities - Issue purchase orders to appropriate staff - Assists in the preparation of purchase orders to vendors - Checks purchase orders for accuracy - Complete and maintain all purchase requests - Track purchases - Work directly with A/P in processing invoices - Resolve pricing disputes with vendors and A/P - Receive all deliveries of supplies and equipment - Distribute packages to the appropriate staff - Resolve any discrepancies with shipments - Ship packages - Maintain centralized medical supply storeroom - Issue supplies to all clinics, DHC?s Housing and Homecare - Follow through with orders received - Maintain all oxygen and equipment rentals - Inventory all necessary equipment for all locations - Maintain and update all data for all locations - Other duties assigned

Job Requirements

- Two+ years of experience working in Purchasing, preferably in the healthcare setting - Ability to lift 50 pounds- A MUST! - Computer proficiency-especially with MS Word, Excel and purchasing software - Excellent time management skills, ability to work independently and multi=task - Demonstrates good judgement, resourcefulness, flexibility and problem solving - Possesses sensitivity and awareness of diverse cultural perspectives and the ability to work with diverse populations - Valid CA Driver?s License in good standing with personal automobile and insurance - Ability to work non-standard hours when needed.
