Job Description

Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking a Coordinator - Customer Service to support the sales business unit dedicated to Industrial Distribution Customers at our Fort Mill, SC location. This role will provide overall customer account management, customer service & client support to a group of high profile customers within the Industrial Sales Business Unit. Also, this position will satisfy customer needs and expectations in a manner that builds strong business rapport and customer trust & confidence, securing existing business while promoting growth of future business by offering efficient, reliable, and quality service and support.   Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Address customer inquiries regarding price and availability received by telephone, fax, or email
  • Provide timely feedback (within 24 hours) to customers in regards to quotations and order status
  • Prepare customer orders for entry, including new and change orders, for same day processing
  • Coordinate with plants, customers, and shipping regarding critical delivery expedites
  • Complete and submit all necessary forms for Requests for Price and Delivery, customer credits/debits, RGM, Deduction Records, and other required activities
  • Coordinate the resolution of  Sales Operations issues in areas that surpass department responsibilities including Accounting, Credit, Engineering, & Quality

  • Job Requirements

    Qualified candidates will have:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
  • 2 years Customer Service experience in an industrial product distribution or manufacturing environment
  • Strong Customer Service Orientation and Problem Solving skills
  • Previous experience using SAP and CRM computer software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong systems aptitude, communication & organization skills, and an ability to work well under pressure
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, making sound decisions with minimal interaction from supervisor/management.
