Job Description

GHD has an excellent opportunity for a Junior to Mid-level Traffic/Transportation Engineer to work from our San Luis Obispo, CA office   This level position requires application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related transportation engineering tasks.    


The job duties typically involve:
  • Performs routine engineering work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.
  • Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of alternatives.
  • For training and development purposes, assignments may include some work that is typical of a higher level.
  • Completes projects in conformance with company Procedures Manual and Agency Standards.
  • Supervisor screens assignments for unusual or difficult problems and selects techniques and procedures to be applied on non-routine work.
  • Receives close supervision on new aspects of assignments. Using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 0 to 3 years experience
  • Performance at this level generally requires certification as an Engineer in Training,  or related experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related fie
  • Proficient in cadd drafting is required.
