Our client is looking for 3 Credit/Collections Specialists at RWS to work with their Credit & Collections services, helping to reconcile backlog on past due accounts and collect past due balances. This employee will help bring accounts current and satisfy customers and internal/external stakeholders. High levels of interaction and collaborating with the team and customers. Really looking for a reliable go-getter, not afraid to pick up the phone and make a collection call. Must be able to work independently, stay organized, and make decisions.
This position will primarily work with Sales and other key departments to comply with the Credit Departments guidelines for opening new accounts, approving customer orders, collecting past due accounts, identifying growth opportunities, and other activities assigned to the position. All while enforcing Credit and Collection policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Approve credit limits and/or make recommendations to Credit Manager for new customers through analysis of D&B, financial statements and credit references. Monitor changes in customer and AR portfolio risk and identify and closely monitor high risk customers. Analyze orders that appear on daily credit review to be released or held. Contact customers to collect past due balances. Prepare AR aging reports for Sales team. Maintain relationships with Sales and assist in growth opportunities. Perform root cause analysis on repetitive customer disputes and deductions. Support Accounts Receivable with payment application issues. Answer customer requests for invoices copies, statements, explanations, etc.
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree Minimum 2 years commercial Credit and Collection experience Strong Excel Skills NACM Certification (Preferred) Requirements: Strong analytical and negotiating skills Excellent business writing and communication skills Persistent and strong follow-through Ability to demonstrate working multiple, competing, complex projects and/or accounts
