As a Project Manager- Quality Assurance (QA) Manager, a typical day will include the following duties:JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Project Manager- Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will use their significant intelligence analysis skills (analytical methodology and practice, writing and production, identification of intelligence gaps, etc.) to support mission critical work.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for:  participating in product design; assisting software developers, software testers, and functional analysts with establishing quality standards; building strategies; and support software testing including integration, system, and user acceptance.  A successful candidate will have applied experience working in a dynamic Agile/Scrum environment with shifting priorities and requirements under little supervision. QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experiencePossess at least eight (8) years intelligence analytical professional experience, three (3) of which in a management/leadership positionFirsthand experience of QA testing methodologies REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLSExperience developing technical and/or program documentationAbility to discern requirements from customer and technical exchange meetingsFamiliarity with intelligence/threat mission or prior experience with in-depth knowledge of national security agencies, law enforcement, or DoD intelligence components DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLSProficient in all stages of formal intelligence reports production (including draft, coordination, and dissemination)Experience using Jira and other project management software in a complex engineering environmentStrong briefing and writing skills are a must as well as the ability to work well with teams or individually with minimal supervision KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop, implement, and manage processes to ensure products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliabilityIdentify and set appropriate quality standards and parametersWork alongside engineers and analysts to sustain and advance our customer’s capabilitiesGather, review, and understand user stories and associated acceptance criteria based on intelligence and standard QA methodsParticipate in product design reviews and Scrum ceremonies to provide input on functional requirements, dependencies or potential issuesIdentify and troubleshoot issues, bugs, defects, and other problemsReview customer and user feedbackProvide recommendations for continuous and consistent improvementProactively identify and communicate risks and opportunities for improvement in testing or other processesContribute to special projects (as needed)
