The primary responsibility of the Civil Engineer is the design of land development and public works projects. This position offers a robust benefits package and a great culture!
Prepare construction drawings, plans, and project specifications.
Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, grading plans, street improvements, utilities and specifications.
Ensure technical accuracy, standard engineering practices, and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various plans, reports and design documents.
Identify problems, evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions to peers and management.
Collaborate with peers and management as necessary to complete work.
Assist in performing basic storm water calculations and reporting.
Plot and assemble civil engineering plans and reports.
Assist other departments with drafting and technical support needs.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Knowledge of standard drafting techniques and engineering fundamentals.
Working knowledge of land development approval process, including site grading, E&S and storm water management.
Ability to follow technical instruction and organizational skills to complete work in a timely and efficient manner to ensure project tasks are completed on budget and on schedule.
Proficient in AutoCAD.
2-5 years of relevant experience.
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
