As a Manager in Training at United Rentals, you will be assigned to a branch or multiple branches and will learn all aspects of branch operations and business planning
You'll gain exposure to all day-to-day activities of the branch that are designed to maximize branch performance and profitability
Upon completion of the on-the-job and formal training you will relocate (with assistance) to an available branch management position within the assigned district or region.Sound challenging and fun? We'll provide the tools, the technology and the support you need to do the job right.What you'll do:Exposure to all areas of business operation such as customer service, sales and marketing, management and human resourcesDemonstrate superior customer service skillsAssist the Branch Manager in the preparation of monthly profit and loss statements and yearly budgetsLearn to utilize internal reporting tools to optimize branch financial performanceCoordinate activities between branch departments to optimize productivityManage personnel matters as directed by ManagementSupervise facility inspection, inventory and fleet maintenance for rental ready statusEnsure workplace safety by supporting the Branch Manager in overseeing safety matters and compliance audits including: personnel safety training, OSHA compliance, DOT regulation and manage drug and alcohol testingOther duties assigned as neededRequirements:Bachelor's degree requiredAbility to relocate, you will be expected to relocate (with assistance) to an available branch management position within the assigned district or region3-5 years business management experienceP&L management experienceProficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft OfficeSuperior customer service skillsEffective leadership, motivational, organizational and communication skillsValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordThis position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.Why join us?We don't just ""talk the talk!""
