POSITION SUMMARY

Please Note: This position has the ability to work remotely, but the preference is for the candidate to be located near one of our major locations.  Ideally, the candidate would be located in either Pittsburgh, PA, Cincinnati, OH, Minneapolis, MN, Battle Creek, MI, or St. Louis, MO. 

The Senior HR Business Partner ensures robust human resource services delivering value to employees and managers to drive the business forward in accordance with strategic plans; addresses obstacles to business success within the talent domain; and reinforces the business values and visions. This role consults and coaches in the areas of legal compliance and risk management, talent management, performance management, communication and managerial skills.

  • Leading the implementation and adaptation of broad corporate policies, plans, and programs to meet business unit objectives
  • Directing effective communication programs with managers and employees to ensure understanding of human resource programs, policies, and plans
  • Providing counsel, advice, and guidance to local management involved with sensitive performance and employee relations issues; directing, administering, and supporting managers with employee relations problems/issues

DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH:

  • Supporting operations in Canada, Mexico, or Brazil
  • Supporting business restructuring and vetting layoff decisions
  • Resolving disputes and complaints by conducting investigations, and producing written reports detailing findings and next steps or actions
  • Overseeing the establishment and administration of EEO/Affirmative Action programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations and diversity goals
  • Proposing tracks, reviewing, and analyzing relevant metrics. Analyzing key human resource trends at each location for turnover, hiring, promotions, separations, and grievances
  • Planning, communicating and integrating employees of newly acquired companies through orientation meetings, supervisory training, and change management
  • Planning, directing, and coordinating activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished.  Mentoring, coaching, training, and developing teams


QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred
  • 8+ years progressive human resources experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years supporting leadership 
  • The ability to speak Spanish is preferred 
  • Periodic travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required
  • A high degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
