An Emergency Department Care Technician III, Under the direction and supervision of the nurses, preforms selected patient care task and other job related duties, Follows detailed and specific instructions; matters not covered are verified with the nurse. Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school graduate or GED. CNA /PCA/ EMT/EMT-P preferred.
Licensure/Certification: BLS (Required in transporting stable monitored patients unaccompanied) and assisting with CPR during code situations. Must also have lethal arrhythmia recognition training prior to monitor transport
Must be satisfactorily completed prior to the end of the orientation period.
Experience/Knowledge: Job related experience at St. Francis or outside within ED setting..
Skills: Cognitive, technical, and interpersonal skills required to deliver safe and effective patient centered care.
Physical Ability: Must be able to lift and assist lifting. Must be able to safely transport patients via wheelchair, litter, or bed to other areas of care.
