The Challenge:

Are you looking for an opportunity to help develop and integrate complex data sets into computational models used by the DoD. As a software engineer, you can solve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast-paced, agile environment. We’re looking for an engineer with the skills needed to build enhancements to meet new systems and requirements from vision to production-ready system.

This role is more than just developing software. We need a software engineer who will use their passion to learn new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You’ll work with the team to enhance the training environment of the Air Force. You’ll help to develop a system that allows for the Air Force to train in distributed environments. You’ll analyze the needs and the environment to help make sure the solution the team develops considers the current architecture and operating environment, and future functionality and enhancements. You Have:

-Experience in working with software systems, including requirements, development, testing, web-based applications, and configuration management

-Experience with Java, C/C++, and object-oriented programming

-Ability to evaluate software

-Ability to connect multiple interacting software packages over a network system

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Nice If You Have:

-Experience working with Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), JREAP, and Link-16

-Experience with Linux-based systems

-Experience with using FORTRAN and Python

-Knowledge of statistical analysis of experimental results

-Knowledge of Microsoft products

-Knowledge of CAD programs, including SolidWorks, BRL-CAD, or AutoCAD

-Ability to plan and organize work and interact with technical and non-technical personnel

-Active Secret clearance

-MA or MS degree

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
