The Davey Resource Group (DRG) is currently hiring certified arborists, professional foresters, horticulturalists, natural resource specialists, environmental scientists, GIS technicians, and plant and outdoor enthusiasts to join our workforce.



Responsibilities

  • Work with major gas/electric utility systems and address forestry needs.
  • Perform safety observations on line clearance tree crews and DRG field employees.
  • Up to 60% weekday, overnight travel required throughout eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas.
  • Assess all terrain, habitat, and environmental conditions.
  • Coordinate with project managers, utility foresters, work planners, and tree crews.
  • Other related duties as assigned.


Desired Qualifications

  • Two or four year degree in horticulture, forestry, urban forestry, environmental science, or a related discipline.
  • International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist.
  • Certified Treecare Safety Professional, OSHA 30, or similar safety qualification(s).


Required Qualifications

  • 3 years experience in utility vegetation management, tree crew auditing, or other related experience.
  • Great communicator and team player.
  • Clean DMV driving record and ability to drive and operate a 4x4 vehicle on rough roads.
  • Ability to work and hike in rugged terrain and inclement weather.
  • Thrives on adaptation, continual learning, and training and is detail oriented.
  • Possess knowledge of local tree species and species-specific growth rates.
