Summary: The main function of a Config Tech II is to configure applications on a computer or computerized equipment. The candidate must be technically proficient and familiar with systems, network, and desktop configuration. Job Responsibilities: Duties include but are not limited to the following: Configuration and set up of new desktops or Laptops, update and installation of new software and applications. Perform personalization, Test and verify hardware and support peripherals to ensure that they meet specifications and requirements, by recording and analyzing test data. Monitor functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure the system operates in conformance with specifications. Performed. Skills/Qualifications: Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage one’s time. Knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software and internet directory services software.
