What You Will Do:
Under general supervision of the Manager of Community Engagement, support the execution of UMMC community engagement strategy. Responsible for maintaining collaborative community partnerships that positively impact hospital-community relationships. Responsible for coordinating community engagement programs and initiatives.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Human Services, Human Resources, Health Services Administration, or a related area of study is required.
One year of professional program coordination, career counseling or community relations experience required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Organizational, record keeping and time management skills required.
Knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point and other database software required.
Counseling skills, educational instruction experience and case management experience.
Strong interpersonal and listening skills are required to work effectively with various levels of employees and management staff.
Highly effective communication skills are necessary to work with all levels of management, various personnel within the Medical Center, as well as the external community.
Valid driver’s license required.
