Position Summary

Under the direction of the Total Rewards Director, ensures delivery and alignment of global HR Compensation services to support achievement of business objectives. The Compensation Analyst ensures alignment of HR policies and practices related to compensation administration including, but not limited to, day-to-day salary administration activities, participation in compensation surveys, conducting job evaluations and administering incentive pay programs. This role will assess and administer compensation plans and programs in compliance with organizational policies and procedures as well as federal and state governing bodies. The role will have the opportunity to work on benefit specific projects in the areas of health, welfare and retirement.


Responsibilities
  • Consult and provide guidance to all levels within the organization - HR business partners, line managers, and executives related to compensation policies, practices, programs, compensation philosophy, and compliance requirements. May consult and provide guidance on job design and organizational structure.
  • Participate in salary surveys and conduct competitive market analyses. Ensure consistent, equitable and market competitive salary treatment of employees.
  • Administer annual compensation programs, including salary planning and variable incentive administration. May participate in the development, design, and enhancement of variable pay programs. Develop communication and training materials. Deliver training on compensation processes and systems. Monitors compensation trends and best practices, providing HR and management feedback.
  • Collaborate with departments and leaders in the development of job descriptions. May also provide guidance in the job offer process to include evaluating correct placement of candidates within ranges based on education, experience, internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Conduct job evaluations; analyze job responsibilities, activities, duties, requirements and organizational structure and recommend internal job placement in the appropriate level, title, FLSA classification, and determine market range. Maintain job records.
  • Create and run reports from HRIS system and other compensation systems as necessary. Monitor data accuracy in compensation systems. Identify and develop recommendations to enhance data integrity and automate processes to drive effective and efficient administration of processes and programs.
  • Participates in financial modeling and special research projects as required. Assist Director as needed in day-to-day activities and/or special compensation or research projects.
  • Monitor the industry and external market and provide analysis and recommendations on the impact of relevant developments in compensation. Monitor and adhere to compliance with local, state, and federal laws governing compensation practices.

Experience and Skill Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Compensation Analyst, Financial Analyst, Human Resource Professional, and/or other analytical experience required.
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional designation) is preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills required (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of compensation principles and practices, and state and federal government regulations pertaining to compensation (i.e., DOL, FLSA) required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality required.
  • Excellent prioritization and organization skills.
  • Strong interpersonal/written/verbal/influencing/negotiating skills.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems through creativity, sound compensation principles, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks (planned and unplanned), meet deadlines and maintain quality of work.
