POSITION SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to drive profitable growth by expanding the customer base and growing sales revenues. The Business Development Manager must have a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced and energetic environment. The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sales by identifying and developing partnerships with current and new customers while developing strong vendor relationships and analyzing market data to identify trends/opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED


  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university

  • Two to three years of sales experience, preferably in an outside sales environment within the technology industry

  • Extensive knowledge of Physical Security products and services

  • Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Meet and/or exceed assigned sales goals and/or quotas on a regular basis

  • Develop and maintain internal and external relationships

  • Introduce new technologies to existing accounts and prospective customers in a widening product portfolio inclusive, but not limited to physical security, networking, and unified communications

  • Develop and maintain high levels of technical and professional sales competence. Maintain the ability to comprehend the technical nature of the Company's and its competitor's major product lines and system solutions and effectively communicate them to prospective customers.

  • Assist customers, vendor reps, Manufacturer Reps with security system build and design as well as provide specification and quote development support.

  • If necessary, support customers with on-site support.

  • Work with Business Development Specialists, Security Solutions Sales Executives & Product Managers to develop a synergistic approach to the market

  • Assist in training of new employees within Security

  • Provide territory intelligence and serve as key resource for inside sales team

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and field peers

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (in compliance with ADA)
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

  • Ability to sit a computer terminal for long periods of time

  • Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation at designated company office location

  • Ability to lift 20 pounds
