Electrical Engineer

In search of an Electrical Engineer with 2-3 years of experience conducting function testing and troubleshooting of machines.  This role will assist Engineers with writing design documents to meet customer requirements and creating operating instruction manuals.  Uses design software to create and modify electrical schematics and other documentation. Responsibilities:

  • Assistance to Electrical Engineering in the creation of IEC & NEC style schematics.
  • To take responsibility for updating existing drawings to capture changes.
  • Review electrical schematics and to be able to assist field service engineers with questions relating to the designs that may make occur during commissioning.
  • Apply agency guidelines such as UL, CSA, NFPA, CE etc. to electrical designs.
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Provide assistance to shop electricians.
  • Investigate customer complaints, determine nature and extent of problem, and recommend remedial measure.
  • Review and advise engineering information with sales department.
  • Provide a working knowledge and insight to safety standards and to be constantly vigilant the standards are being followed.
  • Assist shop personnel in troubleshooting equipment as required.

Education

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 2-3 years professional experience working with electrical formula calculations
  • 2-3 years of experience in sourcing electrical components and preparing bills of materials
  • Must have professional experience and proficiency in AutoCAD or EPlan troubleshooting and producing drawings
  • Hands on experience in selecting of process instruments (Pressure, Level, Flow & Temperatures).
  • Good knowledge of electricity and medium voltage
  • Work collaboratively with other project team members to complete project goals.
  • Represent the cooperation to the public in a manner that will enhance personal as well as corporate reputation.
  • Familiarity with SAP preferred.
  • Microsoft Windows with intermediate Excel
  • Understanding of hardware
