Nesco Engineering and IT is currently seeking a Software Quality Engineer to work permanently in Phoenix, AZ.

The ideal candidate will design and develop test plans and test cases and manages defects for new integrated applications and new interfaces. The position is responsible for development of automated test scripts and also reviews the quality of work of the Quality Engineer I\II positions and provides mentoring, training, and escalation.

Primary Functions:

  • Participates in the review and planning of the Product backlog.
  • Develops functional and technical test plans and test cases.
  • Develops and executes test cases for performance and usability of mobile applications.
  • Performs compatibility testing with various mobile devices to ensure that functionality is working as expected.
  • Designs test data characteristics for data driven test cases and ensures test data is in place to support testing.
  • Develops and maintains the automated User Interface (UI) and Webservice test cases.
  • Performs test execution and report the test results for software quality improvement.
  • Develops and executes regression smoke test cases to support production deployments.
  • Troubleshoots issues individually or with the help of senior QA during the testing process.
  • Analyzes project requests to estimate time and cost required to accomplish the project.
  • Works as part of a project team to coordinate network test environments and determine project scope and limitations.
  • Works with leadership to drive team towards the QA goals and strategies.
  • Proactively identifies risks and co-ordinates the escalations.
  • Reviews and ensures the deliverables of Software Quality Engineer I /II for the highest quality and provides mentorship to junior positions.
  • Takes on other duties needed to help drive our Purpose, fulfill our Brand Principles, and abide by our Organization's Values.
 
 Primary Functions:

  • Bachelors' Degree from a four-year college or technical school with primary study in in Computer Science or another relevant field.
  • An equivalent amount of experience may substitute for education.
  • 6 years or more experience testing various types of application interfaces and mobile applications; and using test and project management tools such as Azure Dev Ops test management, HPALM, JIRA.
  • 4 years or more experience with Agile methodologies and Test-Driven Development and continuous integration processes.
  • 3 years or more experience with various automation tools like Ready API, Katalon etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of database technologies such as SQLServer or Oracle.
Certifications/License:
 
  • (SQL) Server Certification
  • Oracle Certification
