Salary $85,000 - $100,000 per year

Job Details

  • Perform, review, and analyze complex accounting and financial activities
  • Review contracts for accounting specific requirements and ensure timely completion of all project owner billings; to include statement of values, owner AIA submittal package, time and material billings
  • Research unbilled items for billing optimization
  • Coordinate and track project billings to ensure timely payments, follow up on payment discrepancies
  • Researches and advises on special licenses, business permits and taxes that are required at the local project level
  • Knowledgeable of purchase orders and subcontracts to ensure that trade follows the terms and conditions of contract documents
  • Timely process and manage project accounts payable along with the required compliance documentation as per contract requirements
  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements
  • Monitor, track, and record preliminary notices and lien releases
  • Preparation and submission of certified payroll reports
  • Maintain project folders with all appropriate documents, including but not limited to contract, change orders, preliens, insurance, licenses, releases, vendor / subcontractor invoices, in accordance with standard procedures
  • Enter and monitor project budgets and internal budget revisions approved by Project Manager
  • Perform project closeout as per contract requirements, obtain final releases, bill and collect owner retention, release retention funding
  • Advise senior management and others of accounting issues and their impact and offer solutions
  • Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
  • Analyze transactions for correct coding and assignment of revenues and expenditures; reconcile financial discrepancies and irregularities
  • Reporting and Analysis, Interpreting, Communicating Operating Financial Results
  • Assist in the development and production of various operational reports to meet management and other constituent needs and regulatory requirements, ensuring timeliness, accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Compile project financial analyses, projections, and other accounting / financial information
  • Assist Controller in the development of new financial reporting initiatives
  • Prepare project financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Provide expertise and insight on reported results and provide suggestions to improve results
  • Must have experience with MS Office (Excel, Teams, Outlook) and Deltek is a strong plus, but not required
  • Prepare schedules and analysis for monthly management meetings
