Patient Services Representative Job descriptionThis Patient Services Representative position is responsible for accurately and consistently gathering and inputting all “Critical Data” for New Patients and Initial Evaluations, scheduling patients in accord with instructions by the client, verifying insurances, upkeeping, and maintaining authorizations.Patient Services Representative DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plans Patient Services Representative work for the day with team lead.
• Checks messages and distributes accordingly
• Performs Patient Services Representative call duty; answers the phones with a pleasant demeanor, no later than the third ring, with the appropriate client designation, and messages need to be delivered appropriately and noted in patient accounts.
• Performs insurance verifications.
• Documents and enters verification information accordingly into the patient account.
• Performs authorizations.
• Communicates with client any emergency information immediately.
• Performs daily closing procedures (clean workstation).
• Maintains a weekly self-assessment and discusses with team leader.
• Performs specific daily tasks on the day they are assigned
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.Patient Services Representative QUALIFICATIONS:
• Computer skills required: Database Software (Access); Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Human Resource Systems; Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook).
