The Risk, Fraud, and Reconcilement Systems group in Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) is looking for a COBOL Mainframe Developer.  This mid-level developer position will be responsible for supporting in-house and vendor developed mainframe applications on the Deposit Fraud Analysis and Review team.  These applications assist with fraud detection and mitigation.  The successful candidate will support all facets of development, from ideation through implementation.

This position requires a mix of technical, documentation, and leadership skills.  It involves all aspects of the systems development life cycle, and the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and implementing solutions to extend the functionality of existing systems and to address complex project requirements.  Providing production and on-call support for several mainframe applications will be required.  The ability to thrive in a team environment is critical.



Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of application development and implementation experience
  • 5+ years of Cobol experience
  • 5+ years of mainframe experience
  • 3+ years of application production support experience


Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 5+ years of JCL (Job Control Language) experience
  • 3+ years of application production support experience
  • 2+ years of CICS experience
  • 2+ years of DB2 experience
  • 1+ years of experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
  • Knowledge and understanding of MQ Series Messaging
  • Secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies experience
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs
  • A BS/BA degree or higher


Job Expectations

  • Ability to work on call as assigned
