Staff Mechanical Engineer - Mission Critical (Columbus)

Position available for a mechanical engineer with experience in a variety of facility mechanical system and subsystems including: studies, layout, specification and design of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, utilities, infrastructure, and controls\. Position will focus on the design of large scale facilities\.
Additional duties include:
* May develop and evaluate plans for major projects\.
* May assess feasibility or soundness of proposed applications when data is insufficient or testing is advisable\.
* Develop flow diagrams, P&IDs, and sequences of operation as required\.
* May coordinate departmental or divisional project studies, reports or project design assignments\.
* Progressive design responsibilities\.
* Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members\.
* Regularly meets and corresponds with clients or outside personnel\.
* Other duties as assigned\.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from accredited program\.
+ Minimum 3 years related experience \(completion of master's degree in related field may be substituted for one year of experience\)\.
+ Mission Critical facility design experience is preferred\.
+ Knowledge and experience with ASHRAE standards, IPC, IMC, and IECC codes\.
+ Excellent written & verbal communication skills\.
+ Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills\.
+ Previous consulting experience preferred\.
+ Experience with energy and HVAC load calculation software a plus\.
+ Completion of Fundamentals of Engineering Exam strongly preferred\.
