Job Description

Hotel Manager

Eat.Drink.Sleep. is seeking a full time Hotel Manager for an all-new brand concept in Chula Vista, CA. This role will require someone with a dedication to staff development and operational success. The ideal candidate will be marketing savvy and able to help us bring this new brand to life. 

We are currently seeking a full time Hotel Manager to add to our talented, customer service-oriented team.

Qualifications (Must haves)

2+ years of upper management experience in hotel operations

Must have previous hotel revenue management experience

Must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and demonstrate outstanding leadership

Must have demonstrated experience handling HR issues, scheduling and employee training

Open availability to include days, evenings, weekends and holidays

General Responsibilities (this list is not exhaustive):

Provides HANDS ON leadership at the property. Serves as manager od duty. Provides other relief or back up duties as needed at the hotel to ensure optimum operation.

Responsible for preparing property budget and forecasts.

Responsible for maximizing revenues and controlling expenses.

Responsible for overseeing administrative functions including outgoing and incoming invoices, payment of invoices and providing justification for deviations and differences.

Recruits qualified applicants and trains employees in accordance with company standards.

Conducts coaching/counseling sessions; performance evaluations; prepares performance improvement plans, disciplinary documentation; conducts terminations.

Communicates all policies and procedures to staff. Conduct regular meetings to provide various information including company communications, policy reviews, local property activities, goals, etc.

Assist in overseeing and implementing sales and marketing activities of the property while monitoring the efficiency of these activities and making adjustments as necessary.

Resolve guest related issues in an expedient manner consistent with the company’s goals and objectives.

Inspect and document repairs, cleanliness and safety of the property to ensure optimum upkeep.
