The Vice President Global E-commerce is responsible for the trade lane development, integration to key carrier partners, facilitate all requirements for international shipping of the Company B2C and B2B parcel program known as Smart Shipping®.  The Vice President Global E-commerce will develop the Go-To-Market strategy, brand development, and the training materials to provide Company business development team with the tools to sell the product.

Job Duties:

Primary Duties:

  • Collaborates with the global shipping product team and cross-functional teams to develop and implement the global shipping product strategy and roadmap items; including the comprehension of global shipping requirements to adhere to compliance of products and services
  • Provide direction on trade lanes to support Global E-commerce shipping and advises on the selection of key carrier partners to facilitate the program
  • Partners with product owners to develop point to point rate cards for global parcel shipping
  • Collaborates with marketing team to develop training, brand awareness and targeting methods
  • Reviews and determines solutions for core product problems to ensure positive user experience
  • Champions the growth of the global E-commerce design system in an effort to cultivate a coherent look and feel across geographies and cross-selling of Company’ global E-fulfillment capabilities
  • Reviews and evaluates the Global E-commerce shipping program based on customer input, research, user interviews and market feedback to revise the program; through the use of Company tools to constantly improve the product in a continuous improvement environment
  • Publishes monthly reports detailing the success of the product; including Sales, pipeline, P&L, etc
  • Other duties as required and assigned


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain Management or related field from a 4 year college or university equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years in a product development, freight forwarding, customs clearance or business development role
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of global shipping compliance
  • Direct sales experience preferred
  • PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to convert company strategy and large scale change into digestible employee communication
  • Ability to interface with Executives

  • Ability to work on a diversified / global team that includes cross-divisional internal resources as well as external resources
  • Manage multiple projects/tasks with minimal direction and supervision
  • Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail is critical
