AMETEK MRO AMERON has over 40 years of experience servicing and selling aircraft safety equipment thought its operating divisions, AMERON Global Product Support (AGPS) and MASS Systems. Operating three FAA-145 repair stations, AMERON specializes in the repair and overhaul of aircraft fire extinguishers, oxygen systems, crew masks and other flight safety equipment. AMERON also offers for sale a wide variety of PMA parts related to the safety equipment it repairs.
Acquired by AMETEK in 2009, AMERON is a unit within AMETEK, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Division, a recognized global provider of third-party MRO services to commercial, regional and general aviation customers as well as military, helicopter and business jet markets.

Position Summary:
Performs a variety of semi-skilled duties in preparation and operation of various machines and equipment on a production cycle and/or line. Sets, controls and adjust settings as needed and feeds raw material and or parts to semi-automated machines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start, run and end a production cycle and/or production line.
* Controls and adjusts machine settings.
* Reads and understands operation instructions as defined by work documentation.
* Feeds raw material and or parts to semi-automated machines.
* Inspects parts with precision.
* Test operation of machines periodically.
* May fix issues that occur during shift.
* Checks output to identify any machine related issues or flaws.
* Keeps records of approved and defective units or final products.
* Maintains productions logs.
* Uses measurement tools, such as caliper and micrometer.
* Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
Education:
High School Diploma, or GED
Experience:
* 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
Qualifications:
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, Parts Manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Must be able to speak, read and write English as it relates to the job requirements
* Well organized and must be detailed oriented
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively with associate team members, leadership, and customers
* Intermediate level computer skills
* Experience with silver brazing stainless steel gauges, capillary and bourdon tubes a plus
* Knowledge of various welding methods (e.g. MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, Laser, Electron Beam, Plasma etc.)
* Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, stoop, pull, push, assemble, and carry for extend periods of time.
* Ability to lift objects of 10 to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, Parts Manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
* Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
* Must be available to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekends.
* Must read, write, and speak English fluently.
Compensation
Salary Minimum: $30,000
Salary Maximum: $50,000
