Position Summary

Responsible for installing, securing and monitoring networks (LAN and WAN). Assist in establishing a secure computer network and keep it operational. Support the IT Infrastructure Manager in the day-to-day operations of the network. Perform a wide variety of installation, maintenance, and training tasks to ensure the network performance meets company and user satisfaction.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Manage IT Infrastructure applications and network monitoring tools.
  • Ongoing documentation of Network Infrastructure.
  • Maintain network performance, troubleshoot network problems and outages and schedule upgrades.
  • Work with vendors/support on issues and solutions pertaining to the infrastructure.
  • Work with outsourced technologies as it relates to the environment.
  • Assist IT Security to implement and maintain secure systems.
  • Maintain network configuration setups.
  • Assist in managing network and server vulnerabilities.
  • Support Disaster Recovery operations.
  • On-Site Network Preventive Maintenance to all branch locations as necessary.
  • Research and stay current with infrastructure technologies, issues and vulnerabilities.
  • Provide IT staff with solutions/recommendations and act as a resource for security vulnerability remediation.
  • Respond to and resolve escalated IT Help Desk issues.
  • Report on network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information.
  • Ability to adhere to a flexible work schedule.
  • Adhere to Code of Conduct and internal Controls for which this position is responsible.
  • Actively complying with all applicable laws and regulations to include the Bank Secrecy Act, the Community Reinvestment Act, and all other deposit, lending, or non-deposit service regulations; adhering to the Bank's internal policies, procedures, and risk management responsibilities contained in the Human Resources Policy and Procedures Manual as well as the Employee Handbook, the Employee Code of Conduct, and other applicable policies.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Able to work under limited or little instruction
  • Knowledge of Microsoft servers, database servers and desktop products
  • Strong knowledge of computer network security systems, procedures, techniques and applications
  • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN protocols
  • Knowledge with SAN Technologies
  • Knowledge with Virtual Technologies
  • Ability and willingness to travel to sites as needed
  • 5 years’ experience within an information technology organization, with a concentration on Network Administration.
  • 5 years’ experience with WAN and LAN Implementation
  • 5 years’ experience with Storage Area Network technologies
  • 5 years’ experience with VMWare, Cisco and Microsoft Server management.
Training, certifications, licenses, etc.:
  • CCNA certification preferred.
  • MCSA certification desired.
  • Certification in at least one SAN technology desired.
  • Certification in at least one area of Virtual technology desired.
  • Network Engineering and Active Directory background preferred.

  • Employee may need to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, ect.

  • Employee may need to constantly position themselves in the office in order to retrieve files from upper and lower dawers.
  • Employee in this position frequently communicates with staff and clients and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Employee may need to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Employee specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
