WHO’S IN THE KITCEN

 

We’re looking for a Controls Technician for operational programming improvements and optimization at our fulfillment center in Linden, NJ. This role will also support maintenance leadership for planned projects, activities and repairs. This person will be involved with strategic decisions on facilities, construction, and expansion-related activities and should have experience in this realm.

WHAT’S ON THE MENU

  • Position is responsible for designing, programming, repairing and maintaining programmable logic controller (PLC) systems
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on all plant equipment and Instrumentation, as well as modify and maintain plant control systems
  • Maintain all Facility Assets, including the FC's Process Control Instrumentation and PLC/HMI networks
  • Work with different departments (Operations, IT etc.) for recipe management and more efficient production runs
  • Support repairs and installations for other production/manufacturing equipment
  • Other duties assigned

NECESSARY INGREDIENTS

  • Recent experience with PLC's is required, PLC5, SLC500, Compact/Control-Logix (RSLogix5, 500, and 5000)
  • 2+ years’ experience troubleshooting, repairing and setting parameters on Allen Bradley/Siemens Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s)
  • Must have working knowledge of Ladder Logic programming and systematic troubleshooting
  • Proficient at working with electrical and electronic systems, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Basic understanding of Ethernet Networks, IP Addresses, wiring and cable patching
  • Able to read and understand blueprints and schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work holidays, some weekends, and off-shifts as necessary
  • Technical Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
