About the role

Drive reliability performance on the site using the most appropriate and effective tools and techniques. Monitor existing PM/PdM programs, historical trends and KPI data for early identification and resolution of reliability issues. This position is located in Van Buren, AR and reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis efforts in plant with the main responsibility to collect and analyze the data, facilitate the meeting with supervisor, relevant team members and together with defining actions to eliminate recurrent problems.

• Lead the weekly /monthly review of equipment “bad actors” creating action plans for increasing reliability and monitoring performance vs. plans.

• Identify operational and maintenance changes that will provide the most cost-effective solution trough Improvement Maintenance execution,

• Coordinate the set-up of training plans and create standard training documents. Set-up guidelines and follow-up in order to have skilled maintenance employees in the plant and region (maintenance technicians, specialists, engineers & managers).

• Support SAP plant maintenance activities to make sure that SAP PM is used as an effective tool for analysis.

• Ensure that feedback to the engineering design department’s machine owners and global GAMM domain owners is given for BENG equipment through EMR procedure.

• Make detailed maintenance cost analyses on equipment level and identify possible cost savings projects. Work together with the plant maintenance team and global GAMM domain experts on cost reduction projects and realize defined X+1 cost savings in the plant.

• Realize plant reliability maintenance KPI’s, make plan & define plant projects, monitor progress of KPI scorecard, delegate ownership, communicate, report (including to central GAMM), escalate when bottlenecks, avoid sub-optimization.

• Align with plant Maintenance managers on the targets to be put in the personal PDR goals of the plant maintenance leaders + give feedback during mid-year and year-end PDR evaluation.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in maintenance / engineering operations environment.
  • Strong analytical skills - using tools for Analyzing and Solving Problems (FMEA, RCM and Six Sigma).
  • Can work independently to push for results, is highly motivated, self-confident and initiate support on several levels to get the job done.
  • Good management skills, can define multi-year rollout plan, set targets, follow-up progress, rally support, push progress, and communicate to all stakeholders.
  • Effective communication & language skills (local languages, English) both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, persuasive, sets high expectation, motivates people, delegates & follows up, creating an overall good team.
  • Keeps a helicopter overview but can dig into deeper technical details when needed.
  • SAP Plant Maintenance knowledge is a plus.
  • Interacts frequently with other plant reliability engineer, GAMM domain specialists, in order to stay aligned with global standards, templates, and tools.

Prefer Industrial/Manufacturing and/or other similar Engineering Degree and/or equivalent experience.
