Delta Flight Products Manager, Logistics, Kitting

Delta Air Lines, Inc. Atlanta, GA Full-Time
DFP Manager Kitting and Logistics is responsible for the efficient receiving and storing of materials, distribution of materials to DFP production work centers, and managing delivery of parts/kits to customers and suppliers.

Responsible for establishing and managing customer warranty claim project management for DFP parts and products.

* Provide direction and leadership to warehouse supervisors and staff to ensure safety, quality, and standards are achieved.
* Develop and maintain warehouse layout that creates efficient flow/storage of materials from receiving through shipping.
* Work closely with DFP departments, primarily quality, safety, and production to ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of materials.
* Plan and monitor deliveries to ensure shipments are delivered on-time at customer/supplier destinations considering transportation time, transfers, and customs inspections.
* Establish and maintain inventory cycle count process/procedures.
* Provide KPI tracking of warehouse operations to ensure DFP operational and financial goals and objectives are met.
* Plan & schedule DFP kitting operations to ensure kits are assembled and shipped per master schedule and customer requirements.
* Identify trends in productivity and process issues; develop and implement improvement actions
* Develop operational and organizational improvements through collaboration, teamwork, and communication with impacted departments
* Develops both strategic & tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety & well-being.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

* Minimum 10 years' relevant work experience. Aviation related industry experience preferred
* Must demonstrate strong knowledge supply chain management, program/project management, and experience with ERP systems (Epicor Preferred).
* Must be self-starting, detail-oriented and an possess effective project management skills.
* Must be an effective people leader and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Must demonstrate good computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
* Must be familiar with continuous improvement methods.
* Experience with contract language and contract compliance preferred.
* Must be able to travel (<20%).
* Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles. Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority.
* Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Analysis, Finance, Operations, or related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted.
