The role entails providing quality review of treatment plans for clients involved in the Dependency legal system, feedback and recommendations for improvement to assist providers in meeting professional standards. Experience providing oversight or feedback to other clinical professionals is preferred.

***This position will allow for some telecommute opportunity.  Some in-office hours will be required based on business need in our San Diego office location.***

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conducting clinical quality oversight of mental health treatment for clients referred through the Juvenile Court
  • Investigating clinical quality concerns
  • Professional consultation to providers and other stakeholders, as well as additional collaboration with clinical leadership on improvement opportunities to best mitigate risk to clients and County agencies
  • Conducting provider searches on referral from Child Welfare Services for clients residing in and outside San Diego County and authorizing service
  • Covering provider referral line

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in a behavioral health discipline
  • Active, unrestricted Independent Mental Health Clinical License in the state of California (LMFT, LCSW, Ph.D. or PsyD)
  • 3+ years of behavioral health experience
  • Clinical experience with Child Welfare Services population and knowledge of current evidence based clinical practices for treatment of trauma, child abuse, child neglect and domestic violence treatment
  • Ability to gain and maintain access to the County of San Diego's electronic health record-Cerner / CCBH
  • Computer proficiency, able to type and navigate a Windows-based environment
  • Flexible and available to observe domestic violence victims’ groups in the evenings as needed
  • Must live within a commutable distance to our San Diego, CA office location
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as all client requirements, and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance.
