We are seeking entry level Pickers and Packers to join our growing team in Norfolk, VA. In this position you will be responsible for selecting or packing orders using a bar scan system to process outbound shipments indoors in a fast-paced environment. Essential Functions: - Manages pick ticket orders - Pulls warehouse items from the shelves based on number, size, color, quantity, and quality requirements - Ensures that orders are accurate - Stages items correctly for delivery - Operates handling equipment and ensures safety regulations are followed - Plans and monitors product storage and dispatch - Oversees stock replenishment - Monitors stock control systems and processes specific orders - Ensures warehouse goals are met - Maintains a high level of health and safety standards - Shrink wraps products to pallets - Loads delivery vehicles - Packs warehouse orders as necessary - Operates scanners so that the proper order is picked and inventory is managed accurately - Performs other general warehouse duties as needed PHYSICAL DEMANDS: - Ability to walk or stand 100% of the shift. - Ability to squat/kneel frequently during set-up duties. - Requires ability to reach 100% of the shift. - Requires full range of motion to frequently bend at waist. - Frequent lifting/carrying of weights up to 25 pounds, frequent push forces up to 25 foot-pounds at average walking speeds.
