Due to new Customer Partnerships we are growing and expanding our business and as a result, we are looking for new talent to join our team!

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

The Accountant is primarily responsible for providing financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports. Responsible for preparing and posting journal entries and preparing reconciliations for monthly general ledger close.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
* Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
* Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
* Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
* Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
* Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
* Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
* Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
* Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
* Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
* Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
* Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
* Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
* Prepares Sales Tax returns.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the qualifications, knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Must have experience in automated financial systems with ability to work in varying systems and databases. Experienced in financial analysis and reporting. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of an organization. Must be highly organized, committed to accuracy, and able to provide a high level of detail in a timely manner. Must have good analytical skills. Strong computer and application skills, including MS Office Suite, with excellent MS Excel skills. Good with PC's with understanding of calculations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of one (1) year experience in accounting ; or equivalent combination of related education and experience.
