Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the IT Manager is a key member of the Corporate IT Department located in Warrenville, IL.  This position is responsible for shared IT services to install, upgrade, and troubleshoot the information systems across the Platform.  The job holder will lead and manage the IT team to meet or exceed annual and long-term objectives to promote company growth.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Manages various resources within Microsoft Azure suite of services and offerings for multiple subscriptions; Active Directory management with the Office 365 Admin portal
  • Manages the corporate Help Desk application and daily operations of support requests
  • Ensures stable operation of the network, servers, mobile devices and workstations by consistently monitoring, testing, and implementing upgrades
  • Develops, manages, and implements hardware maintenance, software support, network operations and remote backups, infrastructure upgrades, and ISP support (#1)
  • Lead, train, develop and coach a high-performance information technology staff; identifying appropriate staffing needs, skill sets, or alternative outsourcing (#2)
  • Schedules and produces periodic reports regarding MIS performance
  • Analyzes and recommends software and hardware to maximize productivity for all networks
  • Collaborates with other departments and outside computer support vendors to schedule and coordinate upgrades and tests

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Net Operations Management, Information Security, Computer Programming, or related field required
  • 7-10 years progressive experience in Information Technology in a manufacturing environment; 3-5 years in a supervisory role
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office 365/Azure/PowerBI Suite and other IT related software
  • Proficient at searching for various IS solutions to resolve problems. (research technologies, evaluate best practices, and support end user community)
  • Work in a fast-paced multi-level environment.  Switch between low end technical support and high-end support.
  • Problem solving and analytical capabilities, with state-of-the-art design concepts and have very strong project management skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, accurate, thorough, and timely in completion of tasks
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and multiple resources in several functional or technical areas simultaneously and communicate status within the IS and user’s departments.  
  • Ability to train and develop help desk support and system admins in existing and new technologies.
  • Working knowledge of various computer operating systems and interfaces
  • Familiarity with various mid-tier ERP solutions.
  • Willing to travel up to 25%+
