Arcatachamber Arcata, CA (Onsite) Full-Time

Arcata Cabinet & Design Company is seeking a Cabinet Installer with carpentry experience to hang, adjust and fine tune factory-made cabinetry. In this role, you install cabinets according to specifications under the direction of our lead installer. The main responsibility of this role is to provide the highest level of installation standards while maintaining a professional attitude with the utmost respect for the customer’s property. We expect all of our employees to maintain a clean workspace and take pride in their finished product. We will train on specific joinery details, processes and protocols. Room for advancement for the right candidate. We are looking for long-term employees. Pay depends on experience. Benefits include Health, Dental, Retirement Plan and Paid Holidays. Duties and Responsibilities


  1. Install cabinets according to written or verbal instructions

  2. Follow blueprints to ensure quality of installation and correct placement of cabinets, trims, knobs, etc.

  3. Maintain a safe jobsite and clean up the job site during & after installation

  4. Maintain & take care of tools and equipment

  5. Ensure attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding tools and client’s property

  6. Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment



Cabinet Installer Requirements and Qualifications


  1. Prior cabinet installation experience, 2-5 years

  2. Carpentry and hand tool skills

  3. Ability to use power tools (drill, jigsaw, table saw, etc.)

  4. Required to have knowledge of basic cabinet installation with the ability to take accurate measurements

  5. Possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide

  6. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  7. Criminal record check

  8. Reliable transportation

  9. Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings

  10. Physical strength and stamina

  11. Good communication / customer service skills / positive, professional attitude

  12. Works well alone and with assistance

  13. Be committed to learning and developing as a craftsperson
