Title: Senior E-Commerce Category Manager
Location: Miami, FL 33142 (ON-SITE)
Salary: $100,000 - $160,000 annually
Job Overview
As a Senior Category Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of specific product categories within our luxury home and bathroom product lines. This position demands a deep understanding of sourcing, e-commerce direct-to-consumer strategies, and experience with Amazon, marketing, and merchandising. Your expertise in durable goods will be essential in optimizing product selection, pricing, and promotional strategies to drive growth and profitability.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, supply chain, and product development, to ensure the successful execution of category plans that align with overall business goals.
Responsibilities

Develop and implement category strategies that align with company objectives, focusing on product assortment, pricing, and promotional activities to drive sales and profitability.

Leverage your sourcing expertise to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers. Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to ensure optimal product quality and profitability.

Drive the e-commerce direct-to-consumer strategy with a particular focus on Amazon. Develop and execute strategies to enhance our online presence, optimize product listings, and increase conversion rates.

Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, consumer needs, and competitive products. Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions on product launches, discontinuations, and enhancements.

Manage the product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life, ensuring that the product portfolio remains competitive and relevant in the market. Collaborate with the product development team to innovate and introduce new products.

Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies, promotional campaigns, and merchandising plans that enhance brand presence and drive category growth.

Regularly analyze category performance metrics, including sales, margins, and inventory levels. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize category performance.

Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock. Collaborate with the supply chain team to forecast demand and manage replenishment.

Maintain a strong understanding of customer needs and preferences, ensuring that product offerings are aligned with customer expectations and brand positioning.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.

5+ years of experience in category management, product management, or a related role within the home improvement or luxury goods industry.

Proven experience in sourcing, e-commerce direct-to-consumer, and Amazon strategy.

Strong background in marketing and merchandising, particularly with durable goods.

Strong analytical skills with experience in market research and data analysis.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and category management software.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
