Construction Concrete Foreman

Western Specialty Contractors Maryland, US (Onsite) Full-Time
Derived Salary: $36 - $46/Hour

Salary: $36 - 46 per hour



Job Responsibilities:

  1. Assist various craftsmen in their work within a construction area in accordance with accepted standards.
  2. Supervise workers to ensure construction complies with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  3. Act as the competent person on the job by identifying hazards and halting operations that may be dangerous.
  4. Mix cement using a hoe or concrete mixing machine.
  5. Load, transport, unload, and furnish experienced craft workers with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
  6. Clean work area and restock supplies as necessary.
  7. Rig mobile and stationary scaffolding according to corporate guidelines.
  8. Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials during installation.
  9. Perform minor maintenance or cleaning of journeyman's tools and equipment.
  10. Perform other routine duties as directed by craft worker.
  11. Remove rough or defective spots from concrete using a grinder, hammer, or chisel; may patch holes.
  12. Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned workers, adjusting work sequences to meet construction schedules.
  13. Ensure workers understand the company's safety policies.
  14. Maintain liaison with customers and advise supervisors of potential problems.


Job Requirements:

  1. Ability to follow specific directions and perform a variety of changing duties.
  2. Ability to identify hazards in work surroundings.
  3. Demonstrate sufficient reading, writing, and math skills to comprehend safety policies and material instructions.
  4. Ability to read drawings.
  5. Effective communication skills to supervise employees and maintain customer relations.
  6. Physical ability to stand or walk for long periods, lift materials weighing 50 pounds or more, and climb ladders and scaffolds.
  7. Ability to work at heights and extreme temperatures, wearing safety equipment.
