Griffith Foods is a global manufacturer of food products.  We provide a wide range of taste and texture components for food industry customers throughout the world.  Our products include seasoning blends, dry mixes, coating systems, dough blends, crumbs, flavors, sauces and food bases that are used in an extensive variety of application from snack foods and processed meat and poultry to ready meals. Our customers include food processors, restaurant operators and grocery retailers.  While our name may not be familiar to consumers, our products are key components of foods offered by many of the world’s best-known companies.
Position will include Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations integration development as well as full life cycle development for new solutions, enhancements to existing custom solutions and participate in technical design for solutions in the WW Commercial Systems portfolio.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead development and support of WW Commercial integration into global ERP solution (Microsoft Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 F&O).
  • Participate in design aspects for all WW Commercial portfolio solutions (new and existing).
  • Assume day to day responsibilities and ongoing technical support related to proprietary suite of applications used globally.
  • Provide level 2 application support as applicable.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex and/or diverse problems.
  • Participate in technical design and review, development, testing, debugging, implementation, and maintenance of new application development initiatives, including enhancements to existing applications.
  • Database development and support.
  • IIS web server configuration and support.
  • Ability to develop, evaluate and improve software and database performance for solutions used globally.
  • Responsible for upkeep of required test and development environments (includes database and web servers related to Griffith Applications).
  • Ability to write test plans and complete repeatable test scenarios to support validation of business requirements.
  • Write technical user guides and supporting technical documentation.
  • Train end users on new or updated applications as applicable.
  • Support existing standards and procedures.
  • Complete technical code reviews.
  • Participates in the development of project plans and provides time estimates on related project work.
  • Create and follow timelines associated with project(s).
  • Stay current on development techniques, tools and technologies related to job.
  • Communicate project status(s) within IT and to supervisor.
  • Ability to work and collaborate within a team (with 3 peers and a supervisor) as well as communicate with global IT team and business community as applicable
  • Integrate activities with local and global IT groups to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts.
  • Foster and maintain a good relationship with internal Griffith customers and IT colleagues (local and global).
  • Interest and willingness to learn the Griffith Foods business to support growth of a more effective developer.
Knowledge & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a software developer including participation and directing in all aspects of full life cycle development (including database development and web server development/configuration).
  • Minimum three years’ experience in Dynamics AX 2012 ERP and Dynamics 365 F&O.
  • Technical experience includes the following:
    • Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or above ERP development experience (strictly for integration purposes not extending ERP capabilities)
    • Dynamics 365 F&O integration development experience
    • Visual Studio .NET 2013 (.NET framework 4.0) or above
    • ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET
    • JavaScript, HTML, DHTML
    • ASP, VBScript
    • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or above
      • Stored procedure and CTE development
      • XML development and design
      • SSRS development
      • SQL Job creation and management
    • IIS8.5 or above administrative skills
    • Working knowledge of Apache Subversion or comparable
    • Understanding software development life cycle concepts
    • Web Service design and development
  • Additional experience
    • Dynamics 365 CRM configuration, data integration capabilities, ability to embed custom scripting and/or extend OOTB capabilities
    • Microsoft SSIS package development and reuse
    • Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or above
    • Microsoft SQL Server administrative experience
    • IIS log analyzer tools and analysis
    • Experience in software quality assurance
    • Understanding of Model/View/ViewModel (MVVM) pattern, Single Page Application design, JavaScript framework usage
    • Microsoft VB 6.0
    • Microsoft TFS use and configuration
