Director of Global Sourcing

Are you a visionary leader ready to shape the future of global supply chains? We're seeking an exceptional Director of Global Sourcing to drive the strategic sourcing vision for our global operations. In this highly visible and impactful role, you’ll lead with purpose, optimizing operational excellence, enhancing cost efficiencies, and building a resilient supply chain that exceeds customer expectations.

As a key member of our leadership team, you'll collaborate across functions, lead transformative initiatives, and cultivate a world-class sourcing organization that supports innovation, growth, and continuous improvement.




Your Mission

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a forward-looking Global Sourcing Strategy aligned with organizational goals and growth objectives.
  • Champion integration of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) with sourcing and New Product Introduction (NPI) to achieve operational excellence and strategic alignment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the department's global efficiency, responsiveness, and cost-effectiveness.

Global Sourcing & Supply Chain Excellence:

  • Lead global strategic sourcing initiatives to identify and onboard high-quality suppliers while optimizing costs and minimizing supply chain risks.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure sourcing strategies align with business needs.
  • Develop robust risk management processes to anticipate, assess, and mitigate potential disruptions across the supply chain.

Innovation in Component Engineering & NPI Support:

  • Lead global Component Engineering and NPI functions, fostering collaboration between design and sourcing teams to meet cost, quality, and launch targets.
  • Implement lifecycle management processes to maximize part standardization, reuse, and alignment with supplier capabilities.
  • Ensure seamless integration between product development and sourcing to accelerate time-to-market.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Build strategic partnerships with global suppliers, driving innovation, cost savings, and continuous improvement in quality and delivery.
  • Lead value analysis and value engineering (VA/VE) initiatives with suppliers to unlock efficiencies and ensure supply security.
  • Collaborate on initiatives that drive competitive pricing and enhance overall supplier performance.

Operational Efficiency in Procurement:

  • Oversee purchasing operations to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
  • Partner with Finance, Supplier Quality, and other stakeholders to streamline procure-to-pay processes, driving operational excellence.
  • Leverage technology, such as ERP and e-sourcing platforms, to enhance procurement efficiency and reporting.

Performance & Talent Development:

  • Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure sourcing and supplier performance.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing team of global sourcing professionals (18-25 team members), fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Drive succession planning, cross-training, and mentorship to build organizational capability and ensure long-term success.



What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in global sourcing, strategic procurement, or supply chain management, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven success in building and managing global supply chains, driving cost reductions, and enhancing operational efficiency.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills with a proven ability to inspire and lead a diverse, global team.
  • Expertise in strategic sourcing methodologies, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data, derive actionable insights, and make strategic decisions.
  • Experience supporting NPI procurement and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring new products to market efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, e-sourcing platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Certifications:

  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, CSCP, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 25%) to engage with suppliers and stakeholders.
