Summary/Objective:

Rogers Corporation is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager in the San Francisco Bay area. In this position you will grow business with existing and new customers for Rogers' Power Electronic Solutions (PES) division. The territory for this position includes: West Coast, Midwest & Central USA and Western Canada. This position supports industrial, e-mobility (electronics in automotive applications), renewable energy and mass transit markets. Maintains relationships with internal technical teams at Rogers European and Chinese locations. Reports to Regional Sales Manager; US & Canada.


Essential Functions:

  1. Ownership of strategy, sales budget and customer satisfaction of Key Accounts in the assigned territory. Develop and execute a sales growth plan to achieve Rogers’ long term strategic growth plan

  2. Arrange and facilitate key customer visits within the region for Rogers’ marketing and other functional employees in support of the territory sales objectives

  3. Manage and develop the relationship with key customers on all levels; analyzing their needs and ensuring a profound understanding of their business and financial targets in order to create added value

  4. Use CRM tools to document visit reports, new opportunities, contracts and market conditions within assigned territory. Inform marketing and sales management about up to the minute key changes in market conditions within customer base. Recommend new processes or strategies to capture or protect business opportunities for Rogers.

  5. Provide monthly territory forecast updates that feed into Rogers’ Smart Planning program

  6. Monitor, analyze and report on competitive activities within the assigned region

Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

  • BS Engineering / Science or BS/BA Business/Marketing with 5 to 7 years minimum of direct Key Account Management experience

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven sales track record of increasing sales and market share.

  • Key Account Experience with Industrial and Power Electronics accounts

  • Demonstrated ability to work remotely and effectively network work with and influence global colleagues

  • Ability to travel up to 50%, primarily domestically also internationally as needed

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Knowledge of selling into the automotive industry is strongly desired
