Responsibilities
We are looking for a Manager to join our Real Estate Valuation team! This position can be located in Chicago, New York, California, or Texas.
The Manager will oversee and lead work with public and private sector clients providing highest & best use analysis, property valuation and counseling, including appraisal, appraisal management, and acquisition counseling . This would include evaluating location, setting and characteristics of properties as well as the neighborhood characteristics, entitlement and constraints analysis, market analysis, reviewing surveys, leases and other legal documentation and performing site inspections. Ability to develop pro-forma projections for properties to assist clients with development and acquisition diligence. Additionally, this individual will focus on maintaining and improving client and investor relationships in industry. The Manager will serve as the Manager/Coach for financial analysts to ensure deadlines are met and to develop and train staff.

* Bachelor's degree in real estate finance, economics, business, accounting or a related field is a plus.
* Eight years of experience in asset/portfolio management, real estate finance or real estate development is required.
* Preference will be given to candidates with the following:
* Progress toward state certified real estate trainee license, the MAI designation awarded by the Appraisal Institute, the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation from the American Society of Appraisers, or other valuation designation.
* Completion of Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and/or real estate valuation courses.
* Familiarity with subscription sources such as CoStar and Argus valuation software

* Strong aptitude with information technology with proficient skills in word-processing, spreadsheet and presentation software and the ability to adapt to new technology is required
* Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to recognize financial issues through review of financial statements
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and outside business professionals
* Self-starter who exhibits the drive and resourcefulness to work independently and with team members toward common Company goals - show confidence in functional skills and an ability to apply those skills in a multi-task cross-functional team setting
* Ability to work in an evolving, team oriented environment, and accept new challenges as assigned
* Must exhibit excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

For California, Colorado, New York and Washington: the compensation range for this role is $113,640 to $240,850. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
