Environmental Services Supervisor

University Health San Antonio, TX (Onsite) Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

 Supervises and manages the work assignments of a 40 person shift providing environmental support to every department in UHS. Schedules work assignments for all Associates and Team Leaders. Provides Quality Surveillance to ensure the correct chemicals are used, PPE is worn, and equipment is serviceable and available. Provides direct mentoring to all departmental Team Leaders and Trainers. Represents the department to senior managers and the House Supervisor. Complies with and enforces University Health and departmental policies and regulations. Promotes University Health's guest relation’s policy by conducting patient satisfaction surveys. Completes all work schedules, approves time off requests and directs the EVS response to codes and disasters.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

 High school diploma or equivalent experience is required. Three years of supervisory experience is required. Supervisory experience in environmental services (housekeeping or laundry) is preferred. Good written and oral communication skills in English are required.
